This visual-based configuration illustrates the connection principle of the ETROPAL Dialyzer with the dialysis machine. The system uses an integrated Heater Unit (8) to ensure effective control of dialysate temperature.
Before initiating treatment, ensure that the dialysis machine, dialyzer, blood tubing set, REASOL Solution, and BiBag / Bicart Bicarbonate Cartridge are correctly installed and connected according to the manufacturer’s instructions.
CONNECTION PROCEDURE
-
Prime the ETROPAL Dialyzer and blood tubing set with normal saline; remove all air from the system.
-
Before connecting the patient, verify that both the blood compartment and dialysate compartment are completely filled and free of air.
-
Maintain an adequate fluid level in the Heater Unit (8) throughout the treatment to compensate for ultrafiltration losses.
-
Before patient connection, circulate normal saline solution through the Heater Unit (8) to fully rinse the dialyzer and blood lines.
-
Connect the arterial blood line to the patient’s vascular access and prevent air entry into the extracorporeal blood circuit.
-
Operate the blood pump at approximately 100 mL/min and allow the blood to gradually displace the normal saline solution from the circuit.
-
After normal saline is completely removed, connect the venous blood line.
-
Set the blood flow rate, dialysate flow rate, ultrafiltration rate, and pressure parameters on the dialysis machine according to the prescribed treatment values.
-
Continuously monitor machine alarms, pressure values, temperature settings, and other treatment parameters throughout the dialysis session.
